Titan Stoicism, Hunter Essentialism, and Warlock Solipsism

If you’re not a fan of the Prismatic Subclass, you can still enjoy unrivaled build freedom with Exotic Class Items. Let me show you everything you need to know and the best Exotic Class Item perks in Destiny 2: Titan Stoicism, Hunter Essentialism, and Warlock Solipsism. What are Exotic Class items in Destiny 2? Exotic Class items are unique as they have two Exotic perks. Those perks mirror what you find on regular Exotic Armor. For example, Synthoceps are a Titan-exclusive Armor piece with the following Exotic perk: Biotic Enhancements While surrounded, gain increased melee and super damage as well as improved weapon handling and reload speed. The Exotic Class items can roll with the “Spirit of Synthoceps,” which improves melee damage while surrounded. It’s a watered-down version of the Exotic Effect, but arguably the most impactful part. As the perk is weaker than the Exotic armor it’s based on, it still means the regular piece is viable. There are still some devastating abilities you can’t get elsewhere, like the Golden Gun boost from the iconic Celestial Nighthawk.
Each Class has access to several unique Exotic perks, but a small selection is available for everyone: Perk NamePerk DescriptionSpirit of the AssassinFinishers and powered melee blows grant Invisibility.Spirit of the Inmost LightUsing an ability empowers the other two abilities, granting them improved energy regeneration.Spirit of the OphidianWeapons ready very quickly.Spirit of the Star-EaterWhile your Super energy is full, picking up an Orb overcharges your Super, granting it bonus damage.Spirit of SynthocepsImproved melee damage while you’re surrounded.Spirit of VerityWeapon final blows with a damage type matching your grenade grant a stacking grenade damage bonus.
As you can see, there are some exceptionally potent combinations up for grabs. Some of these perks are pretty limited without support, so here are my picks for the top perks to look out for on each Exotic Class item. Best perks for the Titan Stoicism Exotic Mark Screenshot: PC Invasion
Titans are spoiled for choice, as many of the Perks here tie into popular playstyles. There are multiple ways to inject extra damage into your builds, and you can even get a Precious Scars-like effect without the hideous helmet. Spirit of the Synthoceps Improved melee damage while you’re surrounded. Spirit of Severence Powered melee or finisher final blows unleash a damaging explosion. Spirit of Scars Final blows with weapons that have a damage type matching your Super’s element create a burst of healing around you that grants allies restoration.
Spirit of the Eternal Warrior Gain a damage bonus for weapons matching your Super’s element when your Super ends. Spirit of the Armamentarium Gain an additional Grenade Charge. I’ve mentioned the Spirit of Synthoceps several times in this guide, but the original Exotic Gauntlets are a staple in many melee-focused builds for a reason. On that note, Spirit of Severence offers similar benefits to the Severence Enclosure, which is another popular Titan Exotic.
Screenshot: PC Invasion I’ve rocked the Precious Scars helmet on my Titan for a while, but it’s probably the grossest helmet for the class (pictured above). Any way to get around wearing that thing is a win, in my book. Finally, the Spirit of Eternal Warrior and Armamentarium are both easy to play around with and offer decent damage buffs.
Best Perks for the Hunter Essentialism Exotic Cloak Screenshot: PC Invasion I love the perk selection for the Hunter. We have another way to trigger invisibility, but we also have survivability options. Most of the perks below require minimal investment and are already staples in powerful Hunter builds.
Spirit of the Assassin Finishers and powered melee final blows grant invisibility.  Spirit of the Cyrtarachne Gain Woven Mail when you use your grenade. Spirit of the Gyrfalcon Your Void weapons gain Volatile Rounds after you emerge from being invisible. Spirit of Renewal Allies inside the Duskfield take reduced damage, and targets inside the area deal reduced damage.  Spirit of Coyote Gain an additional class ability charge. Plenty of Hunter builds use Invisibility as an offensive and defensive tool, so Spirit of the Assasin and Gyrfalcon are superb bonuses to the play style. The Woven Mail you get with Spirit of Cyrtarachne grants survivability, and you’re almost unkillable in easier content. Spirit of Renewal is great, although it does tie you into using Duskfield Grenades.
Finally, Spirit of Coyote grants double dodges, which seems phenomenal in multiple parts of Destiny 2, including Crucible. Best perks for the Warlock Solipsism Exotic Armband Screenshot: PC Invasion
The Warlock perk pool is full of bangers, but there’s one notable caveat. Most of these perks require specific builds or playstyles to shine. This theme isn’t necessarily bad, but you must assemble your build carefully to reap the rewards. Spirit of the Stag Your Rift provides damage reduction to allied Guardians standing in it.  Spirit of the Filaments Casting an empowering rift will grant you Devour.  Spirit of the Swarm Destroying a Tangle spawns Threadlings.
Spirit of the Claw Gain an additional melee charge. Spirit of the Star-Eater While your Super energy is full, picking up an Orb of Power overcharges your Super, granting it bonus damage.  If you enjoy using Rifts, Spirit of the Stag and Filaments are great choices, although you can’t roll them both on the same Class item. Threadlings from the Spirit of the Swarm are superb as long as you use Strand in your build. The additional melee from Spirit of the Claw opens up build options with a melee focus, and Spirit of the Star-Eater could be used to boost the power of Nova Bombs.
Are these the only good Exotic Class Item perks? I’ve picked the perks above as they are powerful and don’t require specific builds to pop off. That said, if you have a particular Super or Element in mind, the niche perk rolls may provide far more value than the ones I’ve mentioned. You’re spoiled for choice of great Exotic weapons to go with your shiny new Class item. I urge you to experiment, as these items have unrivaled utility.
